I was off to the challenge but Dakkie needed to be hospitalised for a short op. before hand.Yes she needed new steering bearings and front pads.I would like to thank those who gave me advice but in particular Adventurer who spoke me through the procedure and gave me the motivation to do the work myself.I bought the bearings R 110.00 each(SKF from Centurion Bearings) and Ferodo platinum pads R189.00 incl.vat(CIT Pretoria) and borrowed some tools and a work stand (Thanks Phillip and Roy) and did the whole lot myself(and many big prayers along the way).I conservatively saved R2100.00 in labour and parts prices.The bike feels like a new bike does not have that wondering aroung feeling when riding.
