    The Big 2-strokes

Another interesting fact about the AR technology is that it has much better low down torque than the average 2T enduro bike and it does not have the usual 2T ove run feeling - feels more like the ignition has been cut but comes back to life when throttling up.  Very easy to ride, rock, sand or...

    The Big 2-strokes

Activated Radical - i will try to keep it short and sweet. It means no spark from plug between 1000 and 6000 rpm.  The free radicals self ignite therefore burning up the entire cylinder charge.  Therefore very low bad emmissions (less than most 4T) and good fuel economy.  Some of you may...

    The Big 2-strokes

Honda CRM250AR is my current bike.  Last street legal Honda, using activated radical technology.  40hp stock, 20km/l, 160km/h Use it for adventure riding Baviaans, Cederberg, Namibia - no problem doing long rides.  But also fun in dunes etc.

South Coast Meander - the beautiful Cape

Spark plug change after 2000km's on the 2T - not bad i would say Captain Cook.  5mins and back on the road. It fouled as i kept switching off waiting for you know who to get his XR started. Let's not talk about sweat and tears to get the KLE running (before you adjusted the valves....lol)

    Looking for a XR400R

Top end is around 150km/h.  Comfortable at 130km/h.  Did 250km in one day after that the but hurts.  Can easily ride with 650/660's of today but much lighter so great for technical sections. Check out this site for more: www.crm250.com/ and this one for some fun...

    Looking for a XR400R

Bought a Honda CRM250AR a year ago.  Fully road legal, 22km/l, cheap to maintain, fast top end, good torque.  These bikes where designed to counter the two stroke environmental legistaltion hence the AR (activated radical system).  Feels like a combination of 4 and 2 stroke.  Great fun and...
