The video was just painful. Too many people buy bikes that match their egos, and not their skills. And in some cases like the guy in the video, they should be on 4 wheels and never on 2.

Still are. I think it is mostly fear that prevents people from going off tar. Most bikes can handle dirt roads with no issues. With modern bikes and their modern electronics (ABS / TC) the rider's inexperience and lack of skill does not matter that much anymore.
