If you are taking the bike and the rider as two separate objects then surely standing would raise the riders COG but do nothing to the bike's COG? The mass distribution bike has not changed at all.

Hi Blazes, I'll see you on you Sunday. And for those who are worrying about the mud, remember the only way to improve you skills is to keep practicing so don't worry too much and come along. As HSK said it's for pure enjoyement.

I enjoyed it, made me realise just how much hard work is involved in doing the Dakar. Although somebody will probably be alone soon to complain that he had a backup vehicle and a mechanic and various other whines so he didn't do everything as a real privateer would.
