So who is the authority on Transalp 700's in Gauteng, we have DOC KLR for my KLR and Runner for my XR 600 & 650R I bought his 2010 model with 15k on the clock recently and wants the experts the give it a good once over before I start playing with accessories

Hi Titanic I would go for a slightly longer  bolt maybe 5mm longer, I work in engineering and our standard is that all bolts should stick out between 3 and 5 threads to get the full strength of the bolt and in your case make sure the plastic of the locknut gets a a firm grip on the threads. Cheers
