What a privilege to be living in Thabazimbi for the past 12 years and being able to explore the bushveld and mountains.
When using Thabazimbi, Bakkerspass, Rankins pass or Marekele in the same sentence as adventure biking – most Wild Dog members will turn around and be focused on what follows.
Over the past 4 years the Voetspoorfees ( let’s call it The Trax Festival?) has grown to be a relaxing festival at the Thabazimbi show grounds where families can enjoy the day within a relaxed bushveld hospitality. There is a varity of things for all to do for the day and most important is the time spent together with friends and family.
This year the festival will be held on 1 May’19. A public holiday on a Wednesday!
This calls for an exciting one day outride into the local area with the bike. Therefore we will arrange just that. A dirt road trip with a few loops included through local farms.
What is the plan?
Start early morning at the festival and receive your route for the day. Return to the festival at around lunch time where a “small” skills challenge will be included to cool down with.
This will be a good opportunity to stay over in the bushveld the Tuesday night, spend the day and return home Wednesday afternoon if you really have to go back.
