I'm far from home and bike at present, but found some material for a little project I have in mind.
Please would an R1150GS Adv owner help me out by measuring the following:
* Width of the upturned front "lip" on the sumpguard.
* Distance from top of this lip to the top of the horizontal crash bar that goes across the front of the engine.
* Approximate diameter of the horizontal crash bar (10mm maybe?)
I found some scrap aluminium plate, and am hoping it's the right size to make up a little plate that protects the front of the engine from stones, tar and dirt kicked up by the front wheel. It's only thin stuff, 2mm, but might do the trick if I can get two bits to bolt together.
