Interesting fact discovered. And maybe a bit of time saving :clock:for anyone wanting to fit aftermarket or LED indicators to the 2015 Tiger 1200 Explorer
FORGET IT.
Went through the exercise in this last week as a result of melting the right rear one. Leo Vince pipe fitted a little to high and blasting hot gasses onto parts.
New indicator from Agents -- Wait for it --- R 686.52 --- YES for ONE indicator.
So tried alternatives -- nothing worked. In the end I gave up and forked out the pile of cash for the Standard unit.
Seems that the indicators are controlled by the ECU and it is obviously programmed to reject any bulb other than the original.
I know that cause I tried a 10 w ( non triumph) globe and -- no go.
By the way the Leo Vince Can sounds GREAT !! Nothing beats a triple in full song through a good can.
Will post pics as soon as I figure out how .
Cheers Dogs !
