Big Al
Race Dog
Hey fellow dogs,
I am selling my recently completed BMW R100 Cafe project to help fund my kids first car which I promised once he matriculated. Well the time's here, so, the Cafe has to go to a new, loving owner.
It's been completely documented in a thread in Garage Projects and modifications, but briefly, I bought it from a fellow dog in April 2011, and basically stripped it to the ground, de-rusted everything, painted and powder coated it, and then put it back together with new S/Steel or Plated Bolts and Nuts, as well as replacing old with new parts along the way. It took 15 months give or take, and is currently my "Sunday" ride bike.
It's an awesome machine and looks great considering it's 30 years old already.
I have kept a log of all the costs spent which totals well over 30 Grand, but it must sell soon to fulfill my promise for my kid.
I'm wanting around R38 000-00 as it stands, and is ready to be ridden without any problems. Has been tuned and worked on by Shane H, and is running great. Is currently licenced, all papers in order. Bike is available to view in Parklands, Sunningdale on the weekend, or after 6:00 at night during the week.
Click here to see the rebuild process and dozens of Pics. https://www.paterson.co.za/bmwcaferacer.htm
Interested, feel free to send me a PM to arrange a visit and a coffee. :thumleft:
Thanks guys
Alan
