Cougar
Pack Dog
I hoped that this day will never arrive cause I had big plans for this bike, but due to unforeseen circumstances here goes :-[
Year: 1990 (drum brake at the back)
Have Papers. Bike was de-registered in 2005. Got those papers from the last registered owner
Cleared it telephonically with Police at Centurion licensing dep. Papers are correct.
Tyres: 2-4 rides left on front tyre (pics below)
rear tyre still very new (pics below)
One of the few still with gold rims
Engine: Very sound. Nothing to be done. Pulls very strong. All o-rings and seals (gearlever, clutchlever, oil pipes etc. replaced about a year ago)
Maint: Oil after every 5-6 (casual) rides. More if rides were high rev rides.
Air filter cleaned after every ride and oiled properly.
All moving parts and cables oiled with Q 20 after every ride.
Recently done: Rear shock serviced seals replaced. Re-gassed by Hilton Hayward.
New front brake pads (3-4 rides old)
New rear brake shoes (4-5 rides old)
Extras: Hyde Hand Guards
New 40tooth rear sprocket and some loose electrical parts.
15L Clarke Long range tank (Thanks DirtNap)
Standard tank also included
Needs (might need): Chain and Sprockets in about 2-3 rides.
See pic of mudguard I repaired.
Front tyre 2-3 rides.
Frame is not perfect in terms of dings etc but still strong. This bike is pretty old
This bike has served me well. Always ready to go. No nonsense, no problems. Used for casual offroad only (I am a slowpoke) I hope it finds a good home
Video of cold start I did today using choke first (so it dies the first time ):
