I recently purchased a 2006 KLR650 (green with 24k on clock) after finally being able to upgrade from my TW200. After 200km, I've realized that I got completely screwed over with the sale (after being promised that the bike is 100% mechanically fine) - the bike is going to need the cylinder head repaired or replaced. Unfortunately I don't have the time for this, so I'll have to take the loss and sell it as is. I'll then use that money, sell TeeDub and then possibly take a loan to see if I can buy new (as much as I LOVE the 2006 model) - I'm too desperate for reliable transport at the moment.
I purchased it two weeks ago, and have:
* Done the Doohickey
* Fitted brand new Mitchelin Sirac tyres (back and front)
* New EK chain
* New back sprocket
* New 16T front sprocket
* Checked bearings and valve clearance, all good
* Taken it through Road Worthy
I'm open to any offers if anyone is interested in taking it on?
