Hi Guys
After a long struggle with this – I have decided to sell the KLR ….. looking at a bass boat that will hopefully be used more regularly.
Perhaps I am biased here but I don’t believe there are many examples of a KLR (in SA) as in good a condition as this one.  Whomever buys it – really has nothing to do – well, I certainly don’t think so.
I really do not want to sell it piecemeal – so it’s a “lock stock and barrel” deal.
The Bike:-
• 2009 KLR 650 (one of the first models without “deep hole syndrome”)
• 16 400km (10 250 miles)
• Was brought into SA from USA by Cayenne Honda in 2011 with 1 850 miles on the clock when I bought it – the bike was dead stock – still had original factory tyres with plenty mileage left.
• Today still has the original chain and front sprocket
• OEM Doohickey replaced with Eagle Mike Doohickey (preventive measure)
• SW Motech Crash Bars
• SW Motech Bash Plate (recently fitted)
• Leo Vince LX3 Pipe (recently fitted) – still have the original
• Wilbur Progressive Fork Springs
• H/Duty ORC rear spring
• Rear Excel Takasago Rim
• Rear Tubeless Conversion (after Dome ride puncture😊)
• Sealed Gel battery
• Mitas EO7 (Rear - 50% / Front – brand new)
• Motoradical S/S Wide foot pegs (spring loaded)
• Oxford 12V auxiliary plug
• Phillips X-treme Vision headlight globes
• Puig Wind Deflector (fitted on original screen)
• Sports front fender - still have the original
• 22 cent Modification
• DNA (permanent) air filter - plus new UNI foam filter (depends on riding conditions)
• 41 rear sprocket (“Gearing Commander” decision) stays below 5000rpm at 120kph
• Magnetic Sump Plug
• Wiring harness – reinforced / protected as recommended.
• Pannier Racks (Hoops by Errol but mounting brackets professionally finished)
• GIVI EA100B soft panniers (custom fitted to racks with rain covers) – used once
• Shad 42L Top Box (brackets modified – tested on 1st Dome ride - going nowhere but easy release)
• Seat professionally shaped – original covering
• “Tempar” Gel removable passenger seat - very comfy
• Side Tool Tube (Modified)
• 2 x Long Tyre Lever in front tool tube
• Modified anodised crutch for puncture repairs
• Clymer Workshop Manual – with full service history
• Supply of Motul engine / fork / chain lubes.  Belray foam air filter lube etc
