I’m reluctantly selling this beauty which I bought (after a LONG break from bikes) with the intention of getting back into riding with a light, agile yet powerful and modern bike. The plan was to fit some DS tyres and quickly get into some backroad and gravel trips locally.
The bike is excellent for all this, but I simply haven’t had the time to ride it at all – done maybe 500km in the past year!
It’s in wonderful condition with under 14000km on the clock. Everything still feels crisp and fresh, like a new bike. The original owner (also on here) was obsessive in the best possible way and meticulously documented everything to do with the bike.
It has the best tasteful extras: awesome Arrow pipes with performance ECU (about R18k new back then), a JD Jetting fueling controller and an Outerwears air filter. It’s presently on very sporty 17” street rubber nearing the end of its life.
It also comes with a box of mechanical spares (levers, grips, indicators, plugs, switches, a disc, etc) and another box with the stock pipes, used plastics and new OEM decals. There’s also the potentially critical iBeat EFI calibration software provided by the original owner. I imported the OBD-2 adapter as recommended. A brand new (not fitted) Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR rear (150/60 17) is also part of the deal. Spare key, owner’s manual and the original owner’s ‘The Knowledge’ guide, all included.
It will need: (a) a new front tyre (b) an oil change soon.
