I would like to see if it is possible to make a group order and get some
Excel rims and spokes to be fitted on the original HP2 hub. (It will
also fit on a GS hub)
Every body who has a HP2 and rides it knows that the EOM tubeless rim
is not the best for off road riding. It gets damaged because it is wider
to allow the spokes to get on the outside of the rim. After a lot of
research I found this 2 options;
First option;
21X 1,85 black Excel rims with spokes kit.
We can have 5 kits to be sent
from Holland to their distributor in KZN as soon that payment is made
Price R3990 (extra shipping cost to send from KZN to where ever you are,
probably around R150)
Already much stronger than EOM rim.
The other option which I would personally prefer;
21X1.60 (not sure about colour, we can probably choose) also Excel with
spokes
The problem with this option is that the supplier in Holland need a
minimum order of 10 rims to get them from Excel
This rim is stronger because it is narrower and well protected behind
the tire. (also a bit lighter)
The price should be a bit less than the 1,85
What do you think about all of this? Maybe we should start a list of people interested?
