After LR's GS ended up at the dealer for the Klunking problem to be sorted, they phone her today to tell her the the fork seals are bust. :'(
Now I cannot remember noticing anything before and the dealer did not pick it up little more than a month ago, on the 10k service (because it's not one of the checks). The bike has been standing since then, so how did it happen? ??? The bike has 10300km on the clock and is well taken care off. Surely they should last longer than that? ???
The technician recons it could be because the bike was wrongly tied down when they returned it after the service, but that cannot be proven. :-\
Quote for the replacement: R2400.00. Apparently that is the max it can cost and the oil is in the region of R700/liter.
I'm beginning to wonder if I should'nt have bought that Aprilia.....
