Have any of you 990 owners had to replace a ECU/CDI unit (im told it is the same thing)
A friend has a 990R with a misfiring problem when cold....according to KTM they swopped out the ECU with a new one and the misfiring disappeared :
this sounds more like a sensor of some sorts but the agents are adamant that it is the ECU at a cost of 7k.....the bike also needs a clutch basket replacement as it is noisy and apparently it is the springs at the rear of the basket assembly, and not fixable....? also 7k.
Would it be remotely possible to get these parts used or at a better price than from the dealers?
