A year or 2 ago we had a ride to mof se plaas outside Calvina, i can,t even remember name of the farm, I i think Diepdrif, i took us most of the day to get there, few road works and slow riding, we where a few from Vredendal and i remember Rynete was there, also Blinkes, we get to the farm and then cross a shallow river, then comes 10 km of loose sand to the camp, i eventually drove in the veld and just avoided the bigger animal holes.
