My dr650se is chowing juice like nobody's business. It's an 07 grey import from the US with just 200 clicks on the clock now.
On my first tank refill, I calculated the fuel economy at 7,1 litres per 100km
My old dr ran at around 4,6l/100km. This bike's obviously jetted for sea level in the states. I had noticed the bike belches white smoke when I start her (especially with the choke on). Raw fuel I think. The plugs were also buring black.
Is this just a matter of changing the jetting?? I've never worked on a carb before, but I have fairly good backyard garage skills. I also have the complete dr650se manual on pdf.
But I'd appreciate advice on setting this baby up for Jozi altitude.
