I am planning a trip next year May for our honeymoon.
Our idea is to travel from Pretoria to Cape Town, spend a few days at the coast exploring the Garden Route and then heading back to Pretoria.
We have around 10 - 12 days in which to complete the trip.
We are going to be riding a BMW F750GS - thus far equipped with a BMW touring screen, BMW comfort seat and BMW Vario top box and panniers.
I was thinking of making use of my phone, rather than the turn by turn navigation in the TFT.
The idea is that the trip is as scenic as possible, avoiding the mind-numbing main routes. I am not to phased with the odd short stretch of good dirt, but would like to stick to tar 95% of the time if possible.
Any suggestions on routes, attractions and accommodation?
Also, what would you suggest with regards to rider gear, preparing the motorcycle and what to pack?
I have been riding for many, many years so I am by no means a newbie, however this will be my first really long trip away from home.
