Advice on panniers!

I bought my 1200 GSA last year and at the time there were no stock panniers available for the bike. I have now decided that it is time to get panniers. The bike has its standard mounts on for panniers. The question however is, should I go for the stock items or not? What else is available and at what price? I presume stock is not always the best/best price?

Any advice would be appreciated!
