ADVICE ON TRIP BEING PLANNED WITH THE MISSUS

I am riding down to Cpt from JHB by train and loading bike as well.  My (bike) trip back to JHB will include R62 and then up to Upington via Beaufort West/Loxton/Carnarvon/ Van Wyksvlei/ Kenhardt/ Upington.  My quetion in particular is, what are the dirt road conditions from Carnarvon to Kenhardt for two up on GS 1150 ADV like?  Is it similar to most of the Central Karoo's dirt tracks, hard, vast and fast?

Any comments, advice will be welcomed.
