Any copyright on vehicle logo's? (for use in stickers, decals, etc)

Hi guys

May one use a vehicle manufacturer's logo/badge in your own designs?  I would like to make stickers for my panniers and would like to include the round BMW badge.  Since it's a form of promoting/advertising I can't see why not?  I guess selling these might raise a few questions?  And what about wording alone?  For example "R1200GS", etc - is that copyrighted?
