Anybody familiar with process/ cost in taking a bike to the Usa and back?

Thinking of doing a trans America ride this time want to go for long and wonder if anyone is familiar with process and pricing i got a quote from some one in freight business for R125k think this may be way out of line
Or maybe the freight people got my request all wrong !!
Im interested in taking my bike from Jhb to Altanta by plane for a six week period then return back to Jhb
Any input on this would be appreciated
