We made a brief stop yesterday at the office area in Anysberg, to cool down under the trees.
The lady in the office approached us in a friendly manner and asked us to please spread the word.
We are welcome to ride through the reserve, however…
if we stop to rest under the trees at the office, or use their toilets, or have a picnic there,
then we need to first report to the office and pay the day-visitor fee of R50 per head for permits.
This then also allows us to use the swimming pool and all the facilities there.
Please keep this in mind and spread the word.

We would not like to lose the privilege of riding through the Anysberg Reserve.

If you would like to earn extra brownie points with them, bring a bag of carrots or apples to feed their five horses.
The horses are a bit skittish until they discover that you have delicious snacks to feed them.
The Spar in Montagu usually has carrots in stock at very good pricing.

If you need to have a rest stop or smoke break, and do not wish to pay the day-visitor fee, then I suggest you do this elsewhere in the reserve.
