Good Day Dogs,
I am in the market for buying a more suited Dual Sport bike to my needs.
My wife wants to start riding pillion with me, so I need to find something that can take 2 people and luggage/tent/etc. comfortably.
I looked at a 2011 XL700V Transalp, which looked to be somewhat capable.(unfortuanitly got sold). Then I found a GS1200 and that too got sold. And I quite like the look and power of the F800GS and the Tiger XC800.
I think what I am trying to do with this thread is to ask for assistance in get the correct bike for my needs.
#Bike needs to be capable of carrying rider and pillion with luggage/tent/etc quite comfortably.
#Needs to have good power.
#Needs to be town friendly, commuting in town. So not to heavy.
#Price bracket - R70000-R80000.
#2007/8 and newer with decent mileage.
Please be so kind as to give your opinion on what bike you think would be best suited for my requirements, also if available, please comment on the possible running/service costs of such bike.
I would like to make my sums and see what I can afford and what I should be looking for.
