I had a honda, XL500R - but sold it for 1993 DR650. It's a good bike, light, enough of a range (17L tank), had the motor dynoed - it's pulling well..., sorting things so it's ready for a trip. Point is, I'm tempted again. Is the AT 750 such a good bike as some say?
I need to know in short why I'd opt for the AT750 instead of my DR650. BTW, I've got a R1150GS for the longer trips, however...I won't take it anywhere technical, only "nice" gravel roads. So, that limits me a bit. I can go anywhere with the DR, but can I be gone for a week on a DR in Namibe, Botswana..etc.
Please give me a quick list of pro's and cons for dirt riding - specifically how it compares tot he DR. They AT I'm looking at seems to be either 2000, 2001 - with 41k km.
