Hello Guys and girls.
I met the Atlantis permit lady today at a social event. We had a long discussion regarding the state of the dunes and issues surrounding the trail and permits.
PLEASE NOTE: They are having endless problems trying to police illegal entry points and illegal behaviour inside the dunes. eg. open fires and trail blazing through the vegetation.
They do not have the manpower to stop the 123 manne and check on them the whole day. There has now been suggestions that if it becomes too difficult to police, they will simply follow the beach ban route, and close it to the public..
So, PLEASE to the few guys and clubs that do misbehave, do not spoil it for everybody else!
Also please be kind and courteous to the lady that sells the permits, as this is quite a thankless job, and not really in her job description.
We REALLY do not want these permits to be moved to a proper civil servant
