So three years ago I got glasses and my eyes to say the least have gone south. So riding last weekend in the dirt I found because my eyes are so kark (even with glasses), I didn't see the sand traps, slippery muddy sections after it started to rain, potholes, ruts etc and hence didn't klap that freeze position some of us do when you see these things, hence aiding me in a far more relaxed and enjoyable ride, even if I didn't realise what I was riding on till I stopped or felt the back sliding out.
So moral of the story, apply a thin layer of grease on your visor and see how your riding improves as all surfaces will then look the same...
