On our ride were, Jamber, melvman and Bernie.
We set out on Tuesday 29 December 2009 for the Baviaans via the Elandsriver road and the Vodacom/Telkom tower. We fueled up in Patensie as we weren't sure whether the fuel spot in the kloof would be open. We hit the T1 after paying our 25ront and had a great ride, stopping along the way, chatting to other adventure riders where we had the oportunity. We camped at Doornkloof for the night and I can honestly recommend this spot. Bernie had an encounter with Mandy some time after 20h00, or did he? Our hostess, Adelle welcomes bikers with "open arms" (she becomes Mandy after 20h00). On day two we left Doornkloof and rode west towards Willowmore and turned right onto the T2. This was the best part of the ride for me, we saw kudu and springbuck and saw a grand total of two other vehicles, unlike the T1 that was teaming with 4x4's. We arrived back in PE at 15h30 and are already planning our first ride for 2010.
