Best luggage setup?

Dear all,

Quick question regarding a 5 day adventure that would include fun activities such as water crossings and some rugged (GS capable) terrain. Would you recommend a topbox + luggage roll or rather panniers without the topbox given that I won't be taking SWAMBO with as pillion? And why? All comments would be really appreciated, still getting to grips with all the luggage related DS matters.  :imaposer:
