Stephan came home half an hour ago after helping a guy who was side-swiped by a X5 between Corlett and Grayston going north. He was riding a 1200GS. According to eyewitnesses he was swiped into the centre barrier, came off and the X5 "pushed" the bike for about 50 meters.

Stephan just talked to his wife at Morningside. He's got a broken arm, but otherwise OK. He was wearing a jacket and gloves, unfortunately normal jeans and takkies. The jeans took a hammering and the one shoe came off. Luckily the jacket took most of the hammering.

The 1200's one cylinder head cover is ground away and the rest of the bike on that side got quite a grinding. The handlebars are bent and chances are that the forks have bent as well as the front tyre was totally flat.

Now, I am going to drink a fripple wiskey.

Be careful guys.
