A motorcyclist was killed in an accident involving a security vehicle on Beyers Naude Drive in Joburg on Monday morning, Gauteng paramedics said.

“The accident took place around 7am on Monday, in the direction of Cresta,” ER24 spokesman Derrick Banks said.

The 24-year-old man lost control of his motorbike and crashed into a security vehicle.

“He was flung into the air and came down on a moving vehicle before landing on the ground.”

The man sustained serious head and internal injuries as well as multiple fractures.

He was declared dead on the scene. – Sapa
