BMW R1200GS Adventure
SOLD

Engine in great condition, was overhauled at 20,000km. Recent compression test shows it to be in perfect balance.
Starts every time without hesitation and runs like the clappers - you can spin the rear wheel all day long in any gear.  :ricky:
Never been in a crash - just the usual offroad "sidestand incidents".

The bike is fitted with the Garmin Zumo 660 mounting kit - if you don't pay for this extra at replacement cost then I'll remove it.

Stats
  • 27,000km odo
  • FSH at Bavarian Motorcycles (Jhb) and Atlantic Motorrad (Cape Town)
  • On Heidenau dual-purpose tyres with about 50% life left

Extras/non-standard
  • Front shocks revalved but otherwise standard
  • Standard rear air spring.
  • Remus header pipes (cat removed)
  • Remus slip-on
  • Alu hand guards
  • Headlight protector
  • Floating/rubber sheet skid plate conversion
  • OEM BMW pillion pegs
  • Sidestand bearing block replaced with steel aftermarket item
  • Seat locking nut replacement with thumb-screw version
  • DNA oil-based air filter

Spares
  • Original header pipes

Issues
  • LCD instrument cluster backlight not working
  • Fitted LED indicators at rear but left hand one has heat damage (though it still works). Because of the LED headlights I was supposed to fit a resistor kit - got the kit but don't know how to fit it. So at present the LAMPS warning light is permanently on though the flickers do work, except for the left indicator switch seems to have gotten some mud in it and doesn't engage
  • Instrument cluster mounting plate bent
