BMW Santiago - talk me into it / out of it

Ok, so my Berik boots are now at the suppliers being "assessed" (i.e. do they fix, or do they replace, or do they refund me) because the elasticated bits have come undone in 2 places, and the buckle's broken

I'm doing the BMW offroad course this weekend. and i probably won't have them back by then.

So I thought well heck I might as well buy a pair of MX boots, like maybe the Fox Tracker like the_wife has or those nice WWF Thor ones I saw, then I can have 2 pairs of boots cos the Berik was clearly not designed for every day and every weekend use...

Then yesterday while at Auto Atlantic (my favourite vehicle dealership EVER - more on that later) I tried on the Santiago boots....

someone talk me out of this before I spend all my money, cos this is one flippen nice pair of boots  ;D ;D ;D
