Breaking up 1981 Yamaha xt 500 for parts (corrected)

I am thinking of selliing my Yamaha XT 500 or scrapping it for parts. Motor has new rings and valve stem seals. what do you guys think. I am just doing research at this stage but if someone is interested you can pm me.
