The other day I walked around Builder's Warehouse and checked out the welding section, since the glass of my welding helmet has broken. So I thought some goggles (like they use for brazing and gas cutting) should do the trick. They're much lighter and more convenient to wear and the dark glass also flips up and down.
Believe it, cos it's true!
So I start welding something and notice that the arc is quite bright through the glass. I welded a bit, but my eyes were alright afterwards. Wot does this mean? Would I have chopped off had I kept on welding? Dothese goggles' lenses block only, say 60% of the harmfull light that proper welding masks do?
Wot sez you guys and ladyguys and ladyboys who stand on your GS's on perfectly good roads?
