Can bike brake discs be straightened

My project NC30, I do not have a run out dial but with a stainless ruler on a flat surface it looks like the discs might be out 1mm at one point. I have never ridden the bike so cant say how they feel. Anyway on the FB group the guys in the UK said they can straighten them, is this worthwhile here is SA or should I just look for another used set and take my chances ? Guy is asking R750 for a set.
