Cape Town - Potchefstroom - Cape town

I am flying up to Johannesburg on the 3rd of September to fetch a car in Potchefstroom.
I will be driving down to Cape Town via Bloemfontein.

I can take something small in my hand luggage going up, or something bigger coming back down.
The car does have a tow-bar, so could even bring someone's trailer down.
