I received the following request from MadAl who is currently on an oil rig in Brazil and plans to ride to Durban from Cape Town on his return. See his request below and please guys haul out the local knowledge for ol Al.
"Thinking about taking a ride up to Durban when I get back if my old man has moved there. Plotted a straight line course from CT to Durban, then used the street maps to find the closest roads to the straight line. There is a gravel road from Graaf-Renet to Mount Fletcher (R396) that runs through a mountain pass for about 600km. Can you try and find out on the forum if anyone has any idea what condition this road is in. Cheers Alan"
