Today's riding excursion was thanks to Ou Ryperd, Stephen King of Touratech, most of the Touratech staff and the owners of Riverside Mixer, a facility just outside Pretoria that has a mix of offroad riding tracks. Ou Ryperd had recce's a route days before, and Leo, KalahariBen and myself were group leaders and sweepers.
Leo led the fast group and I led the leisurely group, with KalahariBen sweeping.
We regrouped after quite a 'testing' special stage.
Cooldrink break.
Just after a VERY SANDY SECTION, where Peaches and Outie took a tumble
A 'rear view' of us planning our return route, no thanks to Zumo...
What an awesome machine... 8) 8) 8)
My vest is better than yours...  Myself and Kalahariben
Back at Riverside Mixer, Honda, nice big stand, one of many.
Myself and Peaches test rode their scoots, the one guy was a bit sceptical about Peaches taking his CRF230, till he heard she rides a 1200GS, I took the CRF450, very lekker bike!!
Riverside Mixer's porch.
All in all, a very worthwhile day, with CMA raising a fair amount of money to buy more 'biker bibles' which they hand out.
Thanks to all that were involved for a wonderful day.
BUT, we had not been part of enough charity events for the day, check out the Cansa Shavathon report.
