I need some advice pls.
I have a set of LED spot lights on my 2012 Triumph Tiger 800XC, I made a direct connection to the battery with an in-line 5 amp fuse as the LED's draw very little from the battery. The problem is that due to being a direct connection to the battery I must switch them on and off manually and sometimes forget to switch them off! Luckily I have never had a flat battery.
I want to connect the spots to the high beam power source on the handle bars and thus my question… ..
If I do the connection would I need to change the fuse rating for the head lights to accommodate the spots?
Can the brights-dims switch handle the extra current being drawn or will it heat up too much?
I would appreciate any advice as I would rather do the work myself instead of sending it in to the shop.
Many thanks.
