Considering a KTM 2001 640adv...

Any advice or recommendations- I just found this bike on Auto Trader- claims to still have original front tyre on..!
Advertising for R45K, says he will take R40k (KTM will trade him in at R38K).
Apparently clock doesn't work, but he reckons it has between 12-15k kms on...
Are these prices the going rate, or is it all a bit too fishy? Maybe a forum member selling his used up piece of junk... ot: Privately rather than through the forum...? : If the miliage is true it shouldn't be a dog, he rides to little... :mwink:

Also- what changes were made on these bikes since 2001? It has the high front mudgaurd which i quite like...
any comments welcome. Haven't looked at it just yet, maybe today after work or tomorrow. And when looking, what should I look at especially on these bikes wrt wear & tear? Maybe its got like 150 000kms on...!?

Practically my KLR is more than sufficient, but somehow my heart is starting to take over decision making... :drif:
