Contour Helmet Cam mount problem

I have just got a contour helmet cam, the picture quality is fantastic but I find that the helmet mount is not great. The image shakes a lot even on road and to me it seems the double sided tape is to thick and the slide where the camera attaches or slides onto is not tight enough, and allows the camera to shake. Has anyone come across this problem and if so how did you fix it ?
