CX 500 Engine Guy WC

Howsit Guys

I have a mate with a CX 500 that apparently has a blown head. The bike has also been disassembled as a project so it cant be tested either.  As he is out the country a lot, he has asked me to help him get the engine sorted for him.  Is there anyone in WC that knows these engines well?  I've heard they can be a bit fiddly..

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
