My first ride post...
Went out to Sutherland with some mates from the AfricaTwin club last Sunday. Thought it an ideal opportunity to take my orange beast on a longer, sustained ride with differing types of terrain and speeds and test exactly how hard that seat is over 750km. Needless to say the bike rocked... Damn it can be fast. Some nice airtime, slower rocky climbs up ouberg pass, higher speed gravel (don't look down at the speedo
) - nothing too difficult though... Only trouble was a severe headshake at 150kmph in some soft stuff that i thought was going throw me off. Then 10 minutes later it happened again... Rule: Slow down sometimes.
My ass hurt though and coming home through Bain's Kloof pass at night, in the rain and with mist was not fun. Visibility down to about 3m with a 500m drop next to you...
