Our little 250 has not been riding, and we got it back from Pebbles a few days ago. When I tried to start it, the motor just clicked over, not enough battery power to start. So I put the battery on the charger for the night and this afternoon I tried to start it again.
The dash lights came on as it should, and when I hit the start button there was a clicking sound, and the dash buttons died. Everything dead!
I took out the battery and tested it to 12.48V, so battery fine. I disconnected the wiring for the GPS, so no more interference there.
Then I noticed that when I switch the bike on, I can see a very feint flicker in the side-stand switch. Ok, disconnect the side stand switch.
Now it gets interesting. That feint flicker is gone, but now when I hit the starter button, the neutral light will flicker or come on intermittently.
I see bad fun and games in my future.
Anybody want to mention something I should check?
