The weekend presented itself as the ideal time to pop through to Sabie, and make the time to visit the abandoned mining town of Diepgezet. A place I had wanted to see for a while now, so when the opportunity arose we decided to make a trip of it. Not much of an offroad trip, so I'll let the photos do all the talking.
1. Quick stop for a fillup at Middelburg.
2. At Alzo for breakfast, the lovely lady who chose to share her life with me.
3. Family photo time! Eldest, swambo, myself and mini-me.
4. Next stop Lydenburg, for some lekker biltong.
5. The view from Long Tom pass. What a beautiful scene!
6. Mini-me and I at the cannon.
7. OK, ready to roll!
8. The African Elephant in Sabie calls this a banting burger. Yup, no bun. The chips must be in case you're still hungry...
9. Off course, no visit to Sabie is complete without a breakfast at the Woodsman...
10. ...at their family sized tables!
