Vaalseun
Pack Dog
My lovely wife was away, and I decided it's a good time to have a real dirty weekend. The plan was to hit the first dirt only a short distance from home, and I already deflated the tyres on Friday evening. I left right on schedule at 5am, and realised again the thrill of riding in the dark. I was already close to the Vaal dam at sunrise.
When I got to Villiers, the mercury has dropped to 3 degrees, and the mist was so thick I had to ride with my visor open. Average speed dropped to 50km/h. Amasing how you lose your sense of direction in the mist.
Being a dirty weekend, I decided to give civilisation a wide berth by avoiding the Wimpy at Villiers. Between Villiers and Cornelia the mist started to lift.
I spotted a nice location to have my padkos (the english language still needs to find a good word for padkos).
