DIY Waterpump repair

My water pump is dripping coolant from the weep hole. Replacing the pump wil cost R2400.

Has anyone attempted to fix this themselves?

What is the actual problem?

There are two o rings on the pump and I think one of them is the culprit. Either the o ring or the mechanical seal on the housing's side. Replacement coast of the seals R69.

Anyone one with some experience or ideas?
