Dropping your pegs..

Perhaps my handlebar risers are inappropriate for me. I have the layered type but the higher you go the shorter your bolts get  ;D and they kick further back toward you because of the angle. Cables are an issue to.
What about dropping the pegs a tad... or is there a better riser solution. I'm 6'4"

I'm uncomfortable standing up & when i see other guys fitting better into their bikes i get pissed off ;D
